Xbox, PS2, Gamecube All-in-One = Ultimate Gaming Mod

Ultimate gaming machine

Okay, so about a year ago a friend of mine showed me some of the great work he was doing as far as modding game machines go. No, I am not talking about stealing software, but rather just really cool ways to take the gaming technology we love and do some cool things with it. So many out there spend a lot of time customizing their PC boxes with cold cathode, etching, colored fans, and the like - why not do it with our gaming devices? Well, I can’t think of a good reason not to either. Behold the ultimate gaming mod - an Xbox, PS2, and Gamecube all fit into one box with a flatscreen display built right in. Just by looking at the images, you can tell it took a hell of a lot of work - but it’s freaking cool. You rock, Bird.

Gamecube disc
The Gamecube disc sits on the outside.

Gamecube ports
The Gamecube ports are on the side panel, along with Xbox ports.

Hub built-in
Built-in networking for online play, a hub to plug in the systems.

PS2 in front
A PS2 right in front, under the LCD screen.

Where is the ‘how-to’?

Any tutorials?

THANKS

Nice to see a great mod, but i’m pretty sure it could be crammed with more effectiveness aka less space. This thing is humongous, at least open it back and add a NES to fill the gaps. raspberry

Any tuts or furthur info on this mod?

Posted by on October 01, 2005 at 06:00 AM | #

So… he put three machines into a box? I don’t see what’s impressive here. Especially since the PS2 at least is still in its origonal case…

Now, if he’d just done something like strip them all, put them in one tightfitting case, and wired it up so you could use one DVD drive for all three machines, that’d be cool.

Is the flatscreen behind the glass?  Wouldn’t there be some serious glare issues involved?

Posted by on October 14, 2005 at 01:50 PM | #

man.
make a tutorial!
holy crap, besides the LCD screen being beinhd the glass, this thing is awesome.
would be like a million times better though if someone made one with a NES, SNES, N64, Dreamcast, Sega Genesis, etc. (you get my point, all of em) put together. it would be thee greatest invention of all time.
toss in a 360 for a laugh too.
i love this thing.

If you don’t think that this is cool you need to either get a life or go die in a hole.
Play it in the best place for gaming: a dark room. There, solved the flare problem.

Posted by on November 02, 2006 at 07:38 PM | #

y did you add the gc to the outside? do you have a problem with the laser getting dirty?

Posted by on December 03, 2006 at 08:38 PM | #

If GearLive made a portable equivilant you would need a forklift to carry it. Not exactly what gamers want in front room either.

I just bought this system from the guy for two thousand dollar, cause i am rich, and I love it so much. I am going to make it a portal system with some tweaking and take it to school with me and play it. I am going to use a batter from a laptop and a little tv screen.

Posted by Knebie on June 02, 2009 at 09:10 PM | #

If you bought that pos for $2000 you’re an idiot . Should have copied the idea and save your self about $1,800
